Joan Rosenthal, Owner
Joan spent the early years of career honing her sales, hospitality and management skills in prominent organizations such as Hyatt Hotels, Kraft Foods, and the old Cleveland Stadium. She founded Servicetime in response to a market need for a small concierge service and, within three years, shelved the less profitable services to focus solely on exceptional food and event planning. Marigold Catering was born and has since grown into a multi-million dollar operation with over 40 employees.
Joan's inherent ability to foster strong relationships has helped her acquire a number of large clients over the years, including McKinsey and Company, Price Waterhouse, Cleveland Clinic, Oberlin University and the Hanna Theater, among many others. She attributes her success to a tireless work ethic and the talented people that she surrounds herself with on daily basis. Ever optimistic about the future, Joan's vision for Marigold Catering is to continue a steady stream of growth that will allow the company greater resources with which to fuel more charitable, noble and philanthropic goals.
Mike Smith, Executive Chef
Mike Smith works at the helm of the Marigold Kitchens, managing an ever-growing kitchen staff. Mike has a well-rounded knowledge of his craft, having worked in virtually every hospitality position, including bus boy, server, bartender, line cook and and of course, executive chef. He has fine-tuned his culinary expertise in some of Ohio's great restaurants, including High Street Grille, Gamekeepers, OPA! and Metropolitan Cafe. Mike loves the rush associated with large event production and takes great pride in his ability to lead a talented staff in cooking world-class menus for events of any size.

Gitta Stonitsch, Senior Event Planner
Gitta provides a wealth of experience in event planning, which is complemented by her in-depth knowledge of cuisine, developed through her lifelong love of food! With over 20 years experience in the restaurant and catering industries, she is an asset to the team when it comes to coordination of menus and her stylistic approach to food presentation. She credits her business success to her true belief in the meaning of hospitality and her desire to make every event, whether an intimate dinner for ten or a fundraising dinner for 700, an unforgettable experience.

David Hornek, Event Director
Having been with Marigold Catering for four years, David credits his much of his success as an event planner to his many interests outside of work. A skilled photographer, his images have been purchased by both Cleveland Clinic and University hospitals. He also travels extensively, many times in search of inspiration for his next big event. David has over a decade of experience in the catering business, working his way up the ranks from a service start. He now directs all events at Marigold Catering's newest venue, Park Lane Villa, voted "Best New Venue" by readers of Cleveland Business Connects. Clients and staff appreciate David's calm demeanor, thorough planning, keen observation, artistic creativity and pride for every detail.
